Job Description

Enjoy a rewarding career with CentraCare working as an LPN or CMA with our Behavioral Health departments! In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with established policies, procedures and clinical standards.As a vital team member of our Behavioral Health Department, you will be cross trained in Child/Adolescent Behavioral Health and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).You will assist with providing compassionate and comprehensive care to all patients.

To be successful in this position, you will need to work well both independently and in a team setting, have the desire and ability to communicate well with patients and coworkers and have the ability to assess situations, problem solve and handle tasks proactively.

Schedule

  • Full-time | 64-72 hours every two weeks
  • Various days Monday – Friday | 8 am - 5 pm or 7:30 am - 4 pm
  • No nights, weekends or holidays!
  • Located at the CentraCare Plaza

Pay and Benefits

  • LPN starting pay begins at $22.40 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience
    • Pay range: $22.40 - $33.58 per hour
  • CMA starting pay begins at $20.92 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience
    • Pay range: $20.71 - $31.06 per hour
  • $2,500 (LPN) and $2,000 (CMA) hiring bonus
  • $5,000 relocation bonus

Qualifications

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Minnesota
  • AED and CPR training per established policy
  • Workplace Violene Prevention Initial and on-going training


OR

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with one of the following:
    • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
    • American Medical Technologists (AMT)
    • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
    • Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
  • AED and CPR training per established policy
  • Workplace Violene Prevention Initial and on-going training

Due to licensure requirements pertaining to children’s residential facilities, staff who supervise residents at Addiction Medicine Adolescent or Clara’s House must be at least 21 years old.

For any persons who will be employed in a Recovery Plus service, and who have direct client contact must have been free of chemical use problems for at least the two years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact. Chemical use problems includes the following:

  • Receiving treatment for chemical use within the period specified for the position in the staff qualification requirements.
  • Chemical use that has a negative impact on the employees job performance.
  • Chemical use that affects the credibility of the treatment services with clients, referral sources or other members of the community.
  • Symptoms of intoxication or withdrawal on the job.

To be eligible for the hiring bonus or relocation bonus, you must be hired into an eligible full or part-time benefited position. Bonuses will only be awarded in cases where the applicant has not worked for CentraCare for at least the past nine months. Relocation bonus also requires that you currently live more than 50 miles from the clinic and must relocate to within 30 miles of the clinic within 120 days of employment. CentraCare hiring incentives to include but not limited to, hiring and relocation bonuses may be discontinued at any time.
