Psychiatric Licensed Practical Nurse, Clinical Access
Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift

Provides patient care to clients with serious and persistent mental illness in a community mental health center.
Minimum Education:
None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience:
Previous experience in the practice of psychiatric nursing desired. Providing direct patient care in a community mental health center or other psychiatric setting, the LPN/LVN must be able to respond to patients’ needs that may include lifting of patients and the use of physical strength to avoid combative patients. There is need for precautions for exposure to blood and other body fluids. Emotional stability and empathy sufficient to work with emotionally unstable patients is necessary.
Licensure Requirement:
Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Tennessee or Licensed Vocational Nurse.
