As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you'll play a vital role in delivering compassionate, person-centered care while helping create a safe, structured, and enriching environment for residents. You'll work closely with residents, families, CNAs, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support both clinical wellness and quality of life.

What You'll Do
Clinical Care & Resident Support
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately while maintaining appropriate documentation
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to the RN or Director of Nursing
- Perform routine nursing procedures, including wound care, catheter care, specimen collection, and vital sign monitoring
- Assist residents in maintaining the highest possible level of comfort, function, and quality of life
Memory Care Excellence
- Support a person-centered, Montessori-inspired approach to memory care
- Encourage resident engagement, participation, and meaningful daily routines
- Promote resident dignity, independence, and a sense of purpose
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families through compassionate communication and support
- Help create a calm, welcoming environment that enhances emotional well-being
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Provide guidance and direction to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
- Serve as a resource for team members and contribute to a positive, supportive work environment
- Communicate effectively with families regarding resident care and changes in condition
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
- Follow infection prevention procedures, safety standards, and emergency protocols
- Support resident rights, privacy, confidentiality, and respectful care practices
- Participate in training, competency programs, and emergency preparedness drills
- Help maintain adequate supplies and equipment while ensuring a safe care environment

Must Have Skills
- Active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and observational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to exercise sound nursing judgment while following established care plans
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to effectively supervise and support CNAs
Nice to Have Skills
- One year of nursing experience in Memory Care, Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, or a healthcare setting
- Experience working with residents living with Alzheimer's disease or dementia
- Familiarity with electronic medical records
- Knowledge of person-centered care practices
- Previous leadership or charge nurse experience
