Job Duties:

The Clinic LPN provides primary clinical support to the provider, patient and their family to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient's condition. Follows up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing of same in medical record to ensure continuity and quality of care. Promotes a clean environment. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age range on their assigned clinical area.

This role is full-time, 40 hours weekly; Monday through Friday; 7:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

$5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible LPN candidates.

Job Duties:

  • Obtainsanddocumentspatient medicalhistory,chief complaint,vitalsigns ,andprovidesbasic medicaldata basefor provider, and prepares patient for examinations.
  • Performs selected nursing acts in the care of the ill, injured or infirm under the direction of a licensed professional nurse, a licensed physician or a licensed dentist which do not require the specialized skill, judgment and knowledge required in professional nursing.
  • Assistsprovider nperformanceofminorsurgical therapeutic and/ordiagnosticproceduresandancillarydiagnosticexaminationsasdirected by provider to facilitate accurate diagnosis.
  • Collectsandprepareslaboratoryspecimensandcomplete associatedpaperworktoexpeditelaboratorystudieswith maximum accuracy and efficiency.
  • Executesanddocumentsongoing patientcommunication,asdirectedbyprovider,responds to patient questions and requests to ensure efficient use of provider time and timely response to patients needs.
  • Administersmedicationsandvaccinesincludingtopical medications, andintradermalandskintesting as ordered by the providerandperscope of practice..
  • Performs focused observations of skin and wounds (e.g., measure length/width/depth, note drainage/odor/peri wound condition) and document findings in the electronic medical record. Reports wound changes to the RN/APP/Physician.
  • Cleans wounds and applies dressings using sterile/aseptic technique per written order by the provider and/or approved clinic protocols.
  • Reinforces patient education; escalates questions or concerns to RN,/APP/Physician as appropriate.
  • Cleansandsetsupexaminationandtreatmentrooms betweencases,ensures requiredlevelsofasepsis,availabilityof appropriate instruments and equipment, and preparation of patient.

Education:

Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required)

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year-Nursing (Preferred)

Certification(s) and License(s):

Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body, Licensed Practical Nurse - Default Issuing Body
