Job Duties:

  • Provide essential, hands-on patient care.
  • Monitor vital signs.
  • Manage basic equipment to ensure patient comfort.
  • Insert catheters & collect laboratory specimens

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Probationary

Location: This position is located in the Nursing Department of the LA Veterans Home in Jackson, Louisiana.

Career Progression: This position participates in a Career Progression Group (CPG) and may be filled as an LPN 1/2/3. The level at which the vacancy is filled will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series.

Work Schedule: This is a 12-hour shift with a rotating weekend position. 6:00 am to 6:30 pm Day Shift and 6:00 pm to 6:30 am Night Shift

Compensation: This position offers a Premium Pay of $7.00 per hour worked, plus the following Special Entrance Rates:

LPN 1: $19.48/hour;

LPN 2: $20.84/hour;

LPN 3: $22.30/hour
