Job Description

This role is located on Tolka Quay Road, Dublin Port, Dublin 1.

The shifts for this are Monday to Friday 14:00 - 22:00

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Truck Loader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading goods, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Refuelling all bulk road tankers in line with Calor loading procedures.
  • Offload LPG in the event of an over-fill in line with Calor procedures.
  • Report any vehicle defects and accident damage to transport management.
  • Report any deport defects to depot management.
  • Report accidents or incidents to the management as soon as they occur.
  • Undertake training in new processes, equipment, and technology in line with continuous development.
  • Complete vehicle weight checks as per Calor procedures.
  • Assist with training drivers in loading activities.
  • Set up the pipeline between the selected storage tank and the fill bay. Ensure safety system is armed prior to bulk loading.
  • Maintain daily stock record and take periodic actual storage tank readings when requested by senior fitter.
  • Ensure pumps are turned off, relevant valves and Shand N Jurs are closed before leaving the yard.
  • Notify relevant persons of any alarms and or unusual occurrences as per site emergency plans and SOPs.
  • In the event of an emergency activate the appropriate Internal / External Plan and act as required.
  • Investigate alarms and take the appropriate action.

Requirements

Skills required:

  • Previous experience in a terminal, depot, or industrial operations environment (preferred)
  • Knowledge of LPG, fuel, or chemical handling is highly desirable
  • Strong awareness of safety standards, particularly in hazardous or COMAH-regulated environments
  • Ability to follow strict operational procedures and protocols
  • Good attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
  • Basic computer/data entry skills
  • Flexible to work shift patterns or extended hours, if required
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Completion of the ISM shunting course

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Valid Safe Pass / Manual Handling / ADR awareness / forklift ticket
  • COMAH site experience
  • Mechanical aptitude or basic engineering knowledge
