Job Description

SAR Academy, a Modern Orthodox, co-educational day school in Riverdale, NY, is now accepting resumes for Judaic Studies Head Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year in the Lower School (Grades 1 - 5).
Qualifications:- Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to teach textual skills in an Ivrit b'Ivrit environment and to transmit a love of Torah and mitzvot- Exhibits strong ability to build connections with young students and to develop an atmosphere of mutual respect and middot tovot- Displaysstrong collaborative skills- Understands principles of social, emotional and cognitive development- Creative, flexible, and open-minded approach to teaching- Demonstrates an ability to differentiate instruction within a heterogeneous classroom setting

SAR Academy is a nursery through 8th grade Modern Orthodox co-educational day school dedicated to the belief that every child possesses a divine spark, has unique worth as an individual and should be encouraged to achieve according to his or her ability.
