Westview International Language School is seeking a creative and passionate Lower Elementary Art Teacher to join our team for the next academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engaging art instruction to lower elementary students, fostering creativity, and encouraging artistic expression in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate art lessons that inspire creativity and artistic skills development.
- Create a safe and encouraging classroom environment where students feel comfortable exploring various art materials and techniques.
- Integrate art projects with broader curriculum topics to enhance overall learning.
- Assess and document student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
- Organize student art displays and participate in school events related to the arts.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the holistic development of students.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Experience teaching art to lower elementary or early childhood students is highly preferred.
- A strong understanding of childhood development and age-appropriate art teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young learners.
- Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to student safety and safeguarding policies.
- Good Communication and classroom management skills.
