Description

We are seeking two experienced Low Voltage Technicians to join our Building Automation team. This is a full-time, hands-on role for individuals with at least three years of experience in low voltage systems and electrical work.

You will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining building automation and low voltage systems while ensuring work is performed safely and according to code.

Pay: Starting at $20/hour and up, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Install low voltage cabling, conduits, control panels, and related equipment according to engineered drawings and specifications
  • Terminate wiring for sensors, controllers, and other building automation devices
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing low voltage systems
  • Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure projects are completed on time
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain code-compliant installations
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including site reports and as-built drawings
  • Mentor apprentices and less-experienced technicians as needed

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a low voltage technician, preferably with electrical background
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient with low voltage systems (HVAC controls, security, fire alarm, or building automation systems)
  • Mechanically inclined and enjoys hands-on work
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely walk and work on active construction/job sites, including uneven surfaces and areas under construction
  • Ability to climb ladders and access elevated equipment and work areas
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, sit, and work in tight or awkward spaces
  • Ability to use hands and fingers for handling tools, terminating wiring, and working with small components
  • Ability to differentiate colors for identifying color-coded wiring and components, and safely lift/carry tools and materials as required
