Low Voltage Technician

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Low Voltage Technician to assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems in commercial and residential environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and working in fast-paced job site environments. Travel to client locations and job sites is required.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems including data cabling, security systems, access control, CCTV cameras, audio/visual equipment, and network devices
  • Pull, route, terminate, and test low voltage cabling such as Cat5e, Cat6, fiber, and coaxial cable
  • Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, equipment, and system issues
  • Read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions
  • Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of installed systems
  • Assist with equipment setup, mounting, and system integration
  • Travel to client locations and job sites to perform installations and service calls
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of materials and supplies
  • Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members
  • Follow company safety procedures and industry standards during installations and service work
  • Ensure projects are completed efficiently and according to specifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in low voltage, telecommunications, AV installation, electrical work, or related field preferred
  • Basic knowledge of low voltage systems, cabling, networking, and electronic equipment
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials
  • Comfortable working on ladders, in ceilings, and in various job site environments
  • Willingness and ability to travel to multiple job locations as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
