Currently we are seeking a candidate to join our United States Temporary Power team as a Low Voltage Shop Worker.

The Low Voltage Shop Worker position consists of maintaining the shop and yard, building and repairing field equipment, loading trucks and maintaining a well-stocked warehouse. Responsibilities include installation, commissions, services and maintenance of Power Plus Designed Video Surveillance (DVS) systems across construction and commercial environments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist mechanics as needed.
  • Build and repair electrical equipment including but not limited to wire meters, distribution panels, tac-ons, and distribution cages.
  • Clean and maintain shop and yard on a daily basis.
  • Paint & cut poles, and stack poles with forklift.
  • Maintain inventory as needed.
  • Test and troubleshoot video alarm events, communications paths, and supervisory signals to confirm successful transmission to the monitoring central station
  • Provide field feedback to customers, Sales, and Operations regarding deployment feasibility, equipment needs, and site constraints
  • Perform service, maintenance, and repair of deployed surveillance systems in field environments
  • Diagnose and resolve camera, network, wireless, and power/UPS related issues
  • Adhere to OSHA safety rules and use of equipment – hard hats, etc.
  • Adhere to Power Plus safety and quality standards when setting and/or picking up equipment.
  • Other duties as business needs require.

Requirements:

  • Mechanically inclined with ability to build and repair electrical equipment.
  • Working knowledge of low-voltage wiring methods, terminations, and installation standards
  • Able to use all power and hand tools safely.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • An ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong team player.

*Pay Range: $20.00- $24.00/hr
