Delivers an elevated, high-touch beverage experience at a prominent casino floor lounge, through engaging guest interaction, strong floor presence, and exceptional service execution. Responsible for creating a welcoming, high-energy environment that reinforces the modernized look and feel of the property as guests enter through the main doors, while efficiently serving beverages and managing guest needs throughout the lounge.

  • Emanates the utmost in Boyd Style hospitality by delivering elevated, high-touch service with strong presence, energy, and professionalism, consistent with the Center Bar’s role as the centerpiece of the casino floor and a first impression for arriving guests
  • Explain and upsell our beverage options. This will require an extensive knowledge of beer, wine, cocktails, and spirits, including flavor profiles, production methods, legal designations, history, etc.
  • Maintains awareness of the full lounge environment and guest arrival patterns, ensuring immediate acknowledgment and engagement of arriving guests.
  • Owns the guest experience across the lounge by actively managing the floor, anticipating needs, and stepping in wherever necessary to maintain pace, energy, and service standards.
  • Operates as an extension of the bar team, proactively supporting service flow by running drinks, resetting spaces, engaging waiting guests, and ensuring no breakdown in the overall guest experience.
  • Place the order in the POS or relay drink orders to bartenders.
  • Carry and balance trays of beverages through the bar and lounge (approximately 20 to 30 pounds). Circulate throughout assigned work station on a continuous basis, greeting guests in a friendly manner, taking beverage orders, and delivering beverages.
  • Compute charges for orders and accept payment for same; maintain an accurate bank at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the dining room.
  • Regular attendance and timeliness.
  • Ability to interact and respond to diverse types of customers with friendliness, empathy, patience, and genuine care.
  • Maintaining a calm and professional demeanor when dealing with frustrated/demanding customers or other tense situations.
  • Ability to proactively notice and address issues early before they escalate, cause customer frustration, or negatively impact customer experience.
  • Ability to stay composed and adjust quickly to changing or unexpected conditions so customers still receive excellent service.
  • Performs all relative miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor/manager, including the ability to assist in other bars, lounges, and gaming areas as needed

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of twelve (12) months experience in a high-volume front bar, service bar, and/or fine dining environment.
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must present a polished, confident, and professional appearance and demeanor consistent with a high-visibility, guest-facing role.
  • Must be able to walk for duration of shift.
  • Must be able to lift and carry trays weighing approximately 40 pounds. Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Utilize computer systems for placing food and beverage orders and processing payments
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
