Lounge Host - Premium Airport Lounges

About the Role

Excel Aviation is recruiting a Lounge Host on behalf of one of our aviation clients based at Dublin Airport. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join a premium airport lounge environment, providing exceptional hospitality and ensuring guests enjoy a first-class experience.

As a Lounge Host, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining high presentation standards, supporting food and beverage operations, and ensuring the lounge remains clean, welcoming, and fully stocked throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service

• Deliver a warm, professional, and friendly welcome to all lounge guests.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist guests with any requests.
• Build rapport with customers and create a positive lounge experience.
• Respond professionally to customer feedback and escalate issues when required.
• Maintain a high standard of appearance and professionalism at all times.

Lounge Preparation

• Prepare dining, buffet, and bar areas before service begins.
• Ensure food and beverage displays are presented to company standards.
• Set up coffee machines, crockery, glassware, condiments, and service stations.
• Monitor stock levels and replenish supplies as required.
• Assist with basic food preparation, including fruit platters, cheese boards, and buffet presentation.

During Service

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards across all lounge areas.
• Ensure buffet and beverage stations remain fully stocked throughout service.
• Clear tables promptly and efficiently.
• Support guests with food and beverage enquiries.
• Work closely with lounge colleagues and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.

Cleaning & Closing Duties

• Carry out daily cleaning duties across dining, seating, bar, and service areas.
• Clean and maintain coffee machines and food service equipment.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and empty waste bins.
• Ensure all cleaning and health & safety documentation is completed accurately.
• Report any maintenance concerns, incidents, or hazards to management.

Compliance & Safety

• Follow all food safety, health & safety, and hygiene procedures.
• Adhere to airport security regulations and operational requirements.
• Attend all required training sessions and team meetings.
• Wear the company uniform and maintain professional grooming standards.
• Follow company policies and shift schedules at all times.

Essential Requirements

• Previous customer-facing or hospitality experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible approach to shift work, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security pass.

Desirable

• Previous airport lounge, hotel, restaurant, café, or premium hospitality experience.
• Food service or bar service experience.
• Experience working within aviation or airport environments.
