Lounge Cleaner

Dublin Airport Lounges

Salary: €14.80 per hour

Excel Aviation is currently recruiting Lounge Cleaners to join a premium hospitality operation based within Dublin Airport.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in maintaining exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards while delivering outstanding customer service in a high-end airport lounge environment. Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining lounge, washroom, shower, and kitchen areas to the highest standard before, during, and after lounge operating hours.

About the Role

As a Lounge Cleaner, you will play a key role in creating a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for premium airline passengers. You will be expected to maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and cleanliness while interacting professionally and discreetly with guests.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced airport hospitality setting.

Key Responsibilities

Lounge Cleaning & Presentation

• Ensure all lounge areas are clean, presentable, and prepared for guests before opening and after closing.
• Maintain lounge cleanliness throughout operating hours.
• Clear, clean, and sanitise tables, seating areas, and guest touchpoints.
• Arrange furniture in accordance with lounge standards and layouts.
• Dust and clean all surfaces, fittings, signage, frames, and furniture.
• Vacuum carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture.
• Spot clean walls, doors, skirting boards, and paintwork.
• Clean and polish hard floor surfaces.
• Clean and sanitise business centre equipment, including telephones, computers, printers, and photocopiers.
• Empty waste bins and replace liners as required.

Washroom & Shower Facilities

• Clean and sanitise toilets, vanity units, shower facilities, and washrooms.
• Ensure shower rooms are cleaned and prepared immediately after guest use.
• Replenish towels, toiletries, and guest amenities.
• Maintain stocks of hand wash, lotions, shampoo, and conditioner.
• Empty laundry bins and waste containers regularly.
• Ensure cleaning stores remain organised, safe, and tidy.
• Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and presentation at all times.

Kitchen Support

• Operate commercial dishwasher equipment safely and effectively.
• Wash and store crockery, cutlery, trays, and kitchen utensils.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces and work areas.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
• Empty waste and recycling bins.
• Ensure kitchen areas remain clean, hygienic, and organised throughout the shift.
• Clean and maintain dishwasher equipment at the end of each shift.

General Duties

• Complete all cleaning schedules and required documentation accurately.
• Comply with all health & safety, food safety, and hygiene requirements.
• Wear the company uniform and PPE correctly at all times.
• Attend training sessions, briefings, and team meetings as required.
• Follow rostered shifts and timekeeping procedures.
• Report accidents, hazards, maintenance issues, theft, loss, damage, or any irregularities to management promptly.
• Deliver a professional and courteous service when interacting with passengers and colleagues.

Requirements

Essential

• Previous cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, or customer-facing experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Excellent reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Highly motivated with a positive approach to work.
• Ability to work in a busy and demanding environment.

Desirable

• Previous airport, airline, lounge, hotel, or hospitality experience.
• Experience working in premium customer service environments.
• Basic food handling or kitchen support experience.

Security Clearance Requirements

As this role is based within Dublin Airport, successful candidates will be required to complete:

• 5-year employment and reference verification
• Garda Vetting
• Airport ID and security clearance process
• Right to work verification
