Over the past 30 years, we’ve grown from humble beginnings with a single computer into a diversified, global, technology-enabled lottery and prize draw company (ASX: JIN). Today, Jumbo operates across Australia, the UK, Canada and the US, bringing together technology, creativity and purpose to create premium digital experiences people love.
StarVale is dedicated to strengthening the fundraising power of charities, not‑for‑profits, and hospices across the UK. We combine specialist lottery management with a genuine commitment to helping organisations maximise their impact, so more communities receive the support they deserve.
What will you be doing?
You will be representing CancerCare, one of Cumbria and North Lancashire’s leading providers of free support to people of all ages affected by cancer and bereavement.
As a part-time lottery canvasser, you will go door-to-door in local neighbourhoods within Barrow-In-Furness and the surrounding areas, speaking with residents about the weekly lottery. The funds raised through the lottery provide vital support to the local charity and your role is to explain how the lottery works, sign up new supporters and raise awareness of the charity and the important work they do. By building friendly, positive relationships, you will help raise essential funds for the charity to enable the amazing team to continue offering their services free of charge to individuals and families around the region.
Salary: £12.71 per hour basic + commission (realistic earnings up to £16 per hour).
At StarVale, we pride ourselves on being more than just a workplace - we’re a big, friendly team that thrives on collaboration and shared purpose. You’ll join a vibrant group of colleagues dedicated to making a difference - not just for our clients, but for the community as well.
The working pattern for this position is 20 hours per week, flexible, therefore it can work around your schedule, however, it is important that as a candidate you are available to work some evenings to accommodate canvassing times.
