Job Description

Loss Prevention Representative

Lynchburg, VA

  • Prevent, detect and deter losses and safety violations
  • Assist in first aid emergencies and respond to fire alarms
  • Monitoring Access System, CCTV and GPS Systems
  • Check and verify associates’ badges and inspect items exiting facility
  • Issue temporary, visitor and contracted service badges and follow up on their return.
  • Arm and disarm system and respond to burglar alarms
  • Gather and transport proprietary information for destruction
  • Distribute access keys
  • Observe all associates, vendors, visitors after hours to their vehicles
  • Identify potential risk exposures and communicate with LP Management
  • Conducts BAT (Breath Alcohol Testing) as part of the substance abuse program
  • Special Projects as directed by Loss Prevention Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
  • Security experience preferred
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Neat, clean, orderly appearance
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Flexible availability (available to cover all shifts as needed)
  • Able to sit/stand for extended periods of time and multitask

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to access all company property to inspect security measures
  • Stand for duration of work shift and walk/move continuously
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend, stoop and climb for up to 10 hours at a time
  • Climb stairs
  • Work around moving machinery/equipment
  • Adjust to climate changes; hot and cold extremes may occur
  • Perform frequent/reoccurring movement
  • Lift up to 50 pounds several times per day; weight requirements may vary within work areas; perform overhead lifting as necessary

  • Full-time
  • Monday-Thursday 2p-10p Friday 4p-12a
