POSITION SUMMARY

Loss Prevention Officers are responsible for protecting company assets through activities in safety, accident and injury, inventory recovery, internal and external theft. Loss Prevention Officers assist with reduction of loss of inventory, assets, and surveillance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Monitor and maintain the CCTV systems
• Study patterns of behavior to further investigate cases where suspicion is present
• Observe flow of employees for potential theft
• Enforce compliance of company policies
• Detect and deter individuals involved in dishonest or illicit activity in the store, the physical detention of individuals responsible for shoplifting is required as necessary.
• Investigate and resolve internal theft cases at the direction of Loss Prevention Supervisor
• Conduct routine inspections of the facility to maintain physical security and protection of assets
• Complete required audits and inspections and provide accurate documentation of results.
• Enforce company standards as they relate to security and safety procedures
• Investigate claims to determine if liability is present
• Perform other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Good communication skills, oral and written
• Report Writing
• Computer Literate
• Ability to stand and patrol store for extended periods of time.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills
• Must have a great deal of integrity;
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
