Position Summary

Loss Control Representative Trainee develops skills in identifying factors contributing to loss at commercial properties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs field inspections of commercial properties.
  • Evaluates physical conditions of commercial properties.
  • Evaluates, identifies, and makes recommendations to mitigate loss.
  • Completes written reports to communicate findings in a timely manner.
  • Discusses accounts with underwriters and agents.

QualificationsEducation and Experience

  • Bachelors degree required or 2 or more years experience working in insurance, risk management, property/construction management or a related field required.
  • Education in insurance and/or Fire Department experience a plus.

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Professional attitude and superior people skills

Other Requirements

  • Ability to operate company vehicle with valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders to investigate properties.

The salary range for this role is $42,700 - $72,600. The listed annual salary range posted for this position is subject to change and may vary depending on performance, education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, demonstrated proficiency in the competencies required for the role and business needs. Base pay is just one component of GNY’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
