Job Description

Lewis-Palmer School District is accepting applications for a long-term substitute teacher in special education! Substitute teachers must hold an active substitute authorization and this position requires an active Colorado teaching license as a special education generalist. In addition to the required background check CDE requires to obtain your license, District 38 will also require it's own separate background check to obtain employment with the District.

The current rates are as follows;

Base Pay Rate:

• Monday-Thursday: $165/Full-Day; $82.50/Half-Day (Day 1 through 45)
• Friday: $185 Full-Day; $92.50/Half-Day
  

Frequent and Long-Term Rate:

• $175/Full-Day; $87.50/Half-Day (Day 46 through 89)
• $185/Full-Day; $92.50/Half-Day from (Day 90+)
• $200 per day for long-term assignments

• Teach academic and social skills based on student's IEPs.
• Teach emotional regulation strategies.

Qualifications:

• CDE Substitute Authorization
• CDE Teaching License
