Job Description
Position:
- Long-Term Substitute Junior High Math Teacher
Location:
- Mathews Junior High School
Qualifications:
- Prior experience teaching junior high school mathematics or completing student teaching in a junior high environment is preferred.
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging math lessons adhering to the State of Ohio Learning Standards for math and Algebra II.
- Maintain a safe, positive and productive learning environment that fosters mutual respect and academic growth for each student.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the diverse needs, abilities and learning styles of all students.
- Maintain open and professional communication with students, parents and school administration regarding academic progress and behavioral concerns.
- Must have a valid Ohio teaching license/certification and Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Secondary Education or closely related field is preferred.
