POSITION: 1st Grade Long-Term Teacher

LOCATION: Botsford Elementary School

SCHEDULE: October 2026 - March 2027

SALARY: $165/day

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education/Certification

• Valid Michigan elementary teaching certificate

Preferred

• Competency in student management and supervision

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Provide an educational program that meets the educational needs of each student in the teacher's area of responsibility.
• Provide instruction consistent with District and school expectations and which meets the educational needs of all students assigned to the teacher.
• Communicate with students, parents, administrators and other staff members in a manner which is consistent with District and school expectations.
• Maintain student records, organize resources and foster a learning environment which are consistent with District and school expectations, while maximizing student learning.
• Plan, prepare and implement instruction and assessment used to measure student growth.
• Honor and carry out the District initiatives and goals.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.
• Be a contributing member to a Professional Learning Community (PLC).
• Communicate student progress and development with parents and staff.
• Demonstrate creative and innovative lesson plans that contribute to a highly engaged learning community that helps to foster a students ability to implement
• and use the 6 C's of education and 21st century competencies.
• Create a caring and nurturing learning atmosphere that allows for emotional and social growth in young children.
