Process Sorter

Location: 3438 Manning Drive, London, Ontario
Position Type: Permanent Full-Time (Afternoon Shift)
Reporting to: Afternoon Shift Supervisor
Start Date: Immediately
Hours: Monday to Friday, 4:30pm to 1:00am
Wage: $21.01 per hour with a $1 per hour Shift Premium

The Process Sorter is responsible for efficiently sorting recyclables from multiple lines, removing contamination, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while following all MWS safety policies and procedures. This role requires strong teamwork, reliable attendance, safe working habits, and the physical ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods, including availability for late shifts, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities:
In the position of Process Sorter, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Process and sort recyclables from the various sort lines throughout the facility.
• Inspect and remove contamination from your designated sorting area(s).
• Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) is always worn.
• General housekeeping duties.
• Ensure you aware of and always work within MWS’s safety guidelines.
• Read, understand and sign off on all MWS’s Policies and Procedures.

Competencies & Qualifications:
• You must be a team player.
• Have proven safe working habits.
• Must be punctual with an excellent attendance record.
• Be comfortable to perform repetitive movements and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be available to work late, holidays and weekends, as needed.

Escarpment Renewables is Miller’s Class 3 wet anaerobic digestion facility in Grimsby, Ontario where we convert organic waste into a CFIA-certified liquid fertilizer for local agricultural partners and renewable heat and electricity for the Ontario power grid.
