Job Description

RINA is currently recruiting for a Lombardy Industrial Services Inspector to join its office in Milan, Italy within the Mediterranean & Africa Certification Division.​

Mission

The role focuses on ensuring the quality of training and personnel certification services, in compliance with the relevant regulatory standards. #LI-MC1

Key Accountabilities

  • Conducting personnel certification examinations as an examiner, in accordance with accreditation standards for the different professions (e.g. operators responsible for civil and industrial NDT);
  • Preparing, delivering and reporting on training courses aimed at personnel certification (e.g. operators responsible for civil and industrial NDT), including drafting, reviewing and updating teaching materials;
  • Examining materials, production/process procedures and test methods (e.g. NDT) to ensure they meet certification requirements.
  • Communicating with clients, answering their questions competently and providing information on the technical requirements of certification schemes;
  • Keeping up to date with technical practices, industry standards and regulations to ensure the highest quality level in service delivery and compliance with the latest regulatory requirements;
  • Maintaining and expanding personal qualifications through continuity in service delivery and participation in appropriate training and refresher courses;
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to increasing their efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Promoting and complying with safety measures, ensuring that operations are carried out safely and in compliance with requirements among colleagues, clients and partners;
  • Assessing the reliability and maintenance of equipment and facilities in RINA Examination Centres in compliance with safety requirements, in collaboration with Product and Scheme Managers, HSE and Real Estate.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General

Qualifications

  • Professional Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in industrial inspection, certification or technical inspection roles, preferably within industrial services, equipment or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience in performing non-destructive testing in the industrial sector (Level 2/3 operator);
  • Possible proven experience in performing non-destructive testing in the civil sector (Level 2/3 operator);
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and compliance documentation;
  • Proficiency in the use of technical inspection instruments and testing equipment;
  • Interpersonal and teaching skills;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to report examination results and interact with clients and collaborators;
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and personnel certifications;
  • Ability to work and organise work independently;
  • Written and spoken knowledge of English and Italian;
  • Willingness to travel for work.

Compensation Data

The salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480).The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €38.000 and € 48.000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role.In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements.The overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare.
