Job Description

At IKEA, we believe in creating a better everyday life for the many people. We do this together by making our products available to our customers in the most efficient and affordable way. For IKEA Delft, we are looking for an experienced Team Leader Logistics who combines strong people leadership with a passion for efficient warehouse operations.

Your role in a nutshell

As Team Leader Logistics, you are responsible for leading and developing your team while ensuring a smooth, efficient and cost-effective flow of goods throughout the store. You monitor operational performance, optimise processes and ensure our products are available for customers when they need them. You inspire your team to take responsibility, work together and continuously improve.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of co-workers, encouraging engagement, collaboration and personal growth.
  • Coordinate and optimise warehouse operations and the flow of goods to ensure high product availability at the lowest possible cost.
  • Monitor KPIs, budgets and operational results, translating data into concrete improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, inventory accuracy and the use of automation.
  • Develop and implement action plans that contribute to the store's business objectives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support a seamless omnichannel customer experience.
  • Ensure safe working practices and compliance with IKEA procedures, the Code of Conduct and applicable legislation.
  • Promote the IKEA values and encourage new, smarter and more efficient ways of working.

Who you are

You are an experienced logistics leader who knows how to achieve operational results while keeping people at the heart of your leadership. You are analytical, proactive and comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities can change.

Additionally, you recognise yourself in the following:

  • You have at least two years of experience in a logistics management role and experience leading at least 20 co-workers.
  • You have a strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics processes and performance indicators.
  • You have experience with automation; experience in omnichannel operations is a plus.
  • You can translate data and business objectives into clear action plans and measurable results.
  • You communicate clearly, delegate effectively and know how to inspire and develop others.
  • You are flexible, solution-oriented and continuously look for better ways of working.
  • You recognise yourself in the IKEA values and communicate fluently in English.

What we offer

At IKEA, you get the space to be yourself, take initiative and make an impact. We offer, among other things:

  • A challenging leadership role where people development, logistics and operational performance come together.
  • A salary between €3,546 and €4,562 per month, based on a 40-hour working week and depending on your experience, in line with our collective labour agreement (CAO).
  • The opportunity to lead and develop a team while continuously improving our logistics operations.
  • A 13th month in December.
  • An international working environment where teamwork, togetherness and the IKEA values are at the heart of everything we do.
  • Room for your own ideas, initiative and professional development, with opportunities to grow within IKEA.
  • An attractive employment package, including additional benefits in line with IKEA's employment conditions.

Working hours and availability

The position is available for 36 or 38 hours per week. You will generally work according to a fixed schedule, with approximately 80% of your hours planned in advance. Flexibility is essential, as our logistics operation runs from early morning until late evening (05:00-01:00). Availability can not be restricted from Thursday through Sunday.

Start date: 1 December 2026.

Ready to lead our logistics team and help make IKEA products available to the many people? We look forward to meeting you!
