We are seeking a detail oriented, driven and dependable Logistics/Warehouse Coordinator play a key role in getting our products where they need to go safely, accurately, and on time. In this role, you will be at the heart of our operations, preparing products for shipment, receiving and organizing incoming materials, and ensuring everything is handled in accordance with our established procedures and quality standards. Hours are Monday-Friday 8a-5p with the occasional need to start early or stay late.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

High School Diploma or GED.

Experience

Warehouse/inventory experience or prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Stable work history.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive raw materials, packaging, chemicals, and finished goods; verify documentation and labeling, and store materials in designated cooler, reefer, or warehouse locations.

  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, stage, load, and store product safely and efficiently.

  • Prepare products for shipment, including lot tracking, documentation (domestic and export), labeling, packaging, and verification of Quality Control release prior to shipment.

  • Repackage products into customer specific quantities in coordination with manufacturing team.

  • Coordinate outbound shipments with carriers, including scheduling pickups, preparing UPS/FedEx/DHL/XPO shipments, and inspecting trucks prior to loading.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with periodic and annual physical inventories in coordination with Finance.

  • Prepare customer samples using retained samples for evaluation purposes.

  • Assist with transportation issues, shipping documentation, export requirements, and customer shipment inquiries.

  • Develop, maintain, and follow warehouse and shipping SOPs to support efficient, compliant operations.

  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and equipment in accordance with safety, sanitation, and food safety requirements.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts, including enhancements to computerized inventory and shipping processes.

  • Ensure food safety and quality practices are followed and escalate issues promptly to management or Quality Control.

  • Other duties as assigned.

KEY SKILLS:

  • General knowledge of warehouse, shipping, and inventory operations.

  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to accurately record and maintain shipping and inventory documentation.

  • Basic math skills and ability to perform routine calculations.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, remain calm, and work professionally in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Knowledge of and ability to follow safety, sanitation, and food safety regulations.

  • Proficiency with standard office and warehouse systems, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP systems (e.g., INFOR, MAPICS).

  • Physical ability to perform sustained activity, including lifting, moving, and restacking materials.

  • Ability to work extended hours and assist other areas as needed.

  • Ability to identify food safety or quality issues and take immediate corrective action or escalate appropriately.

BASIC MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

This job requires the mental capabilities to organize and maintain a systematic and organized warehouse area. Furthermore, logical thinking and common sense are essential in performing this job function.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND EXPOSURES:

Working conditions vary, the major portion of the job duties occur in an indoor warehouse environment within a protein processing plant. Exposure to many different chemicals used during production and clean up, moving machinery/equipment, climbing on heights, moving throughout the building to different processing areas and wet floors.
