We are currently seeking a candidate to fill a full-time position as a Logistics Technician, a key contributing role within the organization.

The Logistics Technician plays a crucial role in managing and executing warehousing and logistical tasks within the organization. This includes handling goods, inventory management, order fulfillment, and coordinating transport activities. Creating waybills, commercial invoice and other documents required. The ideal candidate will ensure operational efficiency by effectively managing the storage and distribution of goods and will adhere to all safety and compliance standards.

Principle Accountabilities

Consumable material Handling, preparation and packaging of domestic and international shipments.

Receiving and Storing inventory materials.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process incoming products, materials, chemicals and store in inventory
  • Monitor and maintain current inventory levels including consumable materials; ensure accurate stocking and recording of inventory.
  • Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately and efficiently. Process returns and exchanges according to company policies.
  • Oversee the receipt of shipments, inspect and verify product quality and quantity. Enter data into inventory management system and organize stock within the warehouse.
  • Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule shipments and deliveries.
  • Track and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments updating and maintaining accuracy of the Shipping Dashboard.
  • In-charge of harvesting and slitting materials and preparing finished goods rolls into inventory stocked sizes.
  • In-charge of measuring and repacking polymers ensuring proper PPE is worn and safety procedures are followed.
  • In-charge of performing visual inspection on received material from external coater and uploading all the related documents.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and organizational policies. Participate in safety training and meetings.
  • Raise issues to Operations Manager on anything affecting efficiency, productivity and delays in shipments.
  • Work closely with operations and planning to ensure timelines are met.
  • Address and resolve external and internal customer-related issues as they arise. Ensure a high level of service is maintained.
  • Create documentation such as Work Instructions and SOP’s required for warehouse & logistics function.
  • Other duties as specified by management.

Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years experience in a logistics role.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and communication abilities.
  • Experience and proficiency with ERP systems required.
  • Knowledge of operational excellence and S&OP concepts required.
  • Strong literacy in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team atmosphere.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills along with a keen attention to detail.
  • Results-oriented and driven work style, with excellent task-oriented follow-through.
  • Nice to have; College diploma or equivalent with education or certification in logistics, supply chain management or a related field a plus
