Job Description

Job Summary:

Receives, processes, distributes, packages, and ships materials and products.

Essential Functions:

  1. Receives materials and products for redistribution.
  2. Manually or with appropriate equipment moves, loads, and stacks materials, supplies, and finished products within the facility or transportation vehicles. May operate a forklift for up to 40-45% of the shift.
  3. Packages, identifies sorts, organizes, and stages materials and products for shipment.
  4. Processes documentation for accountability, tracking, and inventory control.
  5. Performs routine visual inspection of materials, goods, identifying documents, and packaging for damage and proper identification. Must be able to identify and distinguish small part numbers for quality assurance purposes.
  6. Communicates problems and visual inspection results to the Chain of Command as necessary.
  7. Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company policies.
  8. Participates in continuous improvement teams (KAIZEN circles)
  9. Performs other duties as assigned by Chain of Command

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Prior forklift and logistics warehouse experience required.
  3. Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow production control, safety, and quality instructions and read and record simple data.
  4. Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect material, supplies, and production control documentation.
  5. Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machines and to handle material and goods properly.
  6. Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
  7. Willingness to wear safety equipment and follow safety rules and procedures

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to lift up to 33 lbs. for the duration of the required shift
  2. Ability to stand and/or walk for the duration of the required shift
