Boeing Global Services is seeking a Logistics Support Representative (LSR) to support Boeing Aircraft Comprehensive Material Support (CMS) activities at the Tsuyama warehouse facility in Okayama Prefecture, Japan. This position operates in direct support of JASDF aircraft readiness objectives and works alongside Boeing expatriate personnel in a collaborative, multinational environment.

The LSR will perform material management, requisition processing, shipment tracking, and repairable/retrograde coordination functions in support of Boeing Aircraft sustainment operations. The selected candidate will be a local national hire and must be capable of operating effectively in both Japanese and English-language work environments.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process material requisition requests and maintain accurate tracking of requisition and delivery status, including estimated delivery dates and open order management
  • Coordinate receipt, inspection, and disposition of incoming material; support discrepant material actions and associated documentation
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation for outbound shipments, retrograde returns, and repairable component induction into the Repair of Repairables (RoR) cycle
  • Support spares availability and inventory management under the CMS contract
  • Assist with configuration management support activities, including tracking of technical directives and service bulletin material actions
  • Interface with Japan Government supply systems to support receipt and shipping transactions
  • Attend logistics and supply support meetings; coordinate across internal Boeing teams, JASDF counterparts, and external vendors as required
  • Support spares pack-up review and development for deployments as directed
  • Maintain records and documentation in accordance with Boeing Quality Management System (QMS) requirements
  • Support continuous improvement of transportation, shipping, and logistics processes at the Tsuyama facility

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, or material management
  • Experience processing material requisitions, tracking shipment status, or managing parts availability
  • Experience preparing or supporting shipping and receiving documentation
  • Experience working in a quality-controlled or process-driven logistics environment
  • Technical or conversational English proficiency sufficient to communicate with English-speaking colleagues, read technical documentation, and participate in multinational team meetings
  • Native or full professional Japanese language proficiency (spoken and written)
  • At least one of Japanese citizenship and US citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting military aviation logistics, aircraft sustainment, or defense program supply chains
  • Familiarity with military aircraft parts and materials environments
  • Experience with repairable component processing, retrograde coordination, or carcass induction documentation
  • Experience supporting spares planning, warehouse material flow, or deployment pack-up preparation
  • Experience with configuration management support, technical directive tracking, or service bulletin incorporation
  • Prior experience working with or alongside U.S. military, U.S. government contractors, or American expatriate personnel
  • Full professional English proficiency (spoken and written)
  • Familiarity with Japan Government supply systems or JASDF logistics processes

Working Conditions

  • Warehouse environment; requires prolonged standing, walking, and physical activity
  • Occasional lifting up to 16 kg
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required; safety standards enforced per Boeing and facility requirements
  • Standard work hours per Japanese Labor Standards Act (37.5 hours/week)
  • May require occasional support for off-hours operations depending on mission requirements

Location:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location site. (Tsuyama, Japan)

Domestic relocation assistance is partly a negotiable benefit for this position.

Occasional domestic (10%) and international (10%) travel may be required in support of the program and customer.
