The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily logistics, warehouse operations, and housing support services to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, distribution, and accountability of government‑owned furnishings, appliances, and related equipment for DoD Military and Civilian housing occupants. This role supervises warehouse personnel, manages inventory processes, coordinates deliveries and pickups, and ensures compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and applicable federal regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Warehouse & Property Management

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and safeguarding government property.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and monitor the delivery and pickup of furnishings and appliances for eligible housing occupants.
  • Oversee inventory control procedures to maintain accurate, auditable records and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Manage the Self‑Help Program, ensuring adequate stocking levels and proper accountability of all issued materials.
  • Apply stock control policies and procedures to maintain accurate property documentation across all warehouse functions.

Compliance & Contract Oversight

  • Review Performance Work Statements (PWS), contract modifications, and FAR/DFAR clauses to ensure compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accountability and security of all government‑owned supplies, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure adherence to DoD, DoT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
  • Support invoice preparation by providing accurate material, labor, and cost data.

Supply Chain Coordination

  • Plan, forecast, and coordinate supply requirements to maintain proper stock levels, including a minimum 30‑day supply for Self‑Help stores.
  • Track, compile, and report data on material usage, inventory changes, and cost expenditures to support contract performance and billing.

Personnel Leadership & Administration

  • Supervise warehouse personnel, including Warehouse Specialists, Order Clerks, Truck Drivers, and Custodians.
  • Provide daily direction, training, and performance feedback to ensure operational effectiveness and compliance with company policies.
  • Verify timekeeping records for assigned staff and adjust staffing levels based on workload and mission needs.
  • Promote a safe, professional, and efficient work environment consistent with company practices and collective bargaining agreements.

Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate effectively with Government representatives, contractors, internal departments, and leadership regarding logistical operations, program status, and performance updates.
  • Serve as a point of contact for resolving logistics‑related issues and ensuring smooth operational flow.

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform other related duties as assigned in support of mission requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics coordination, and property accountability standards.
  • Familiarity with DoD logistics policies, FAR/DFAR compliance requirements, and OSHA safety standards.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact effectively with DoD personnel and team members.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Work Conditions:

  • Work is primarily performed in a warehouse and office environment.
  • Regular visits to off-site locations such as housing units and maintenance facilities are required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and lift up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible logistics or warehouse experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in government or military warehouse operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of FAR Subpart 45.5 and experience managing government‑owned inventory.
  • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or warehouse supervision.
  • Hands‑on experience with warehouse management software and inventory tracking systems.
  • Must possess a valid AB Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Transportation certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to U.S. government installations through a Common Access Card (CAC)
