ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Logistics Supervisor to work under the direction of the Mailing Supervisor, to follow established procedures and guidelines. Maintain shipping operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing standards and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage special shipments for clients.
Perform freight estimates for LTL and common carriers using approved process.
Verify that air bills and bills of lading are filled out correctly when needed.
Monitor carriers to make sure they pick up the correct freight and packages.
Arrange transportation for vendors and for special package pick-ups.
Maintains shipping supply levels and notifies purchasing of restock items needed.
Monitor equipment performance
Investigate new carriers and shipment services; makes recommendations to management on use of new services and delivery options.
Provide research assistance to internal customers for problem shipments.
Actively participates in leadership training.
Commit to personal growth and leadership development.
Interface with carrier representatives for quoting and freight arrangements.
Meet with LTL and other carriers to discuss new services and options
QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years of shipping experience with LTL and common carriers
Warehouse experience in shipping and receiving environment
Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong organizational and leadership skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will be on the production floor in a warehouse setting.
The noise level in the work environment can be loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Hearing PPE equipment is required in the work area.
During the summer, the production floor may get hot. Proper hydration practices are key to not overheating.
