Heraeus Precious Metals is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to support our precious metals inventory and operations. This role is critical to maintaining accurate movement, storage, weighing, tracking, and shipment of high-value materials.

The ideal candidate possesses strong mathematical and analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize SAP and other systems. Success in this position requires commitment to inventory accuracy, process discipline, confidentiality, and compliance with established procedures.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming metal materials and verify that all shipments match accompanying documentation, descriptions, and recorded weights.
  • Maintain accurate vault organization, ensuring materials are properly classified and tracked according to status, including incoming, outgoing, quarantine, and inventory designations.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments using approved packaging methods and complete all required documentation and sign-offs in accordance with company policy including cycle counts, weight verification activities, and inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Accurately record inventory transactions and material movements within SAP and other inventory systems.
  • Move materials manually or using carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Verify calibration and proper operation of scales and weighing equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.

Your Profile:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to perform weight calculations, inventory reconciliations, and quantity verification.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience using business software applications. Ability to learn ERP systems, including SAP.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials as required by the position.
  • Prior warehouse, logistics, inventory control, vault operations, manufacturing, or materials management experience is preferred.
  • Experience conducting cycle counts, inventory audits, or reconciliation activities.
