Job Description

Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity to join North America Supply Chain as a Logistics Specialist supporting our Crop Protection business. The Logistics Specialist is responsible to manage cost and service performance of our 3rd party logistics network partners to ensure the products that our farmer customers need is delivered on time for the growing season at the best possible cost and in the most sustainable manner. You will be challenged with shipping/receiving capacity constraints, volatile inventory levels, variable warehouse performance, and daily decision making to optimally balance cost and service of logistics partners in our network, and multiple stakeholders’ demands. You will do this by developing valued relationships with logistics partners, our commercial demand teams, as well as our supply chain organization. In addition, you will use data and analytics to make informed choices and risk-based decisions in collaboration with the team to constantly optimize and improve - making logistics a competitive advantage for Corteva.

The ideal candidate with be passionate about supply chain logistics, have strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills, and have a high level of influential leadership to deliver improvements and action resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Relationship Management and performance metrics for our 3rd Party Logistics partners.
  • Primary focal point for communications, escalations, and activities within our warehouse network.
  • Cost Center owner, responsible for tracking costs and managing invoice and payment details.
  • Inventory controls management, including Inventory Record Accuracy, inventory health, cycle counts, physical counts, and financial controls.
  • Train warehouse personnel on processes needed for accurate inventory & order management.
  • Track metrics related to the warehouses such as on time shipments, space utilization and cost with related performance management of 3rd party service providers.
  • Perform annual audits of the warehouses within our network.
  • Ensure that all warehousing activities and transactions are completed correctly and in a timely manner, enabling accurate inventory availability and visibility
  • Collaborate with other members of Supply Chain as well as Customer Service to ensure all warehouse activities are running efficiently across the network to achieve business goals.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, business, or technical field required. 5+ years of experience in relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience in SAP S/4 HANA/IBP/OBP/ERP technology performing supply chain tasks such as inventory deployment, auditing and management, or Logistics operations is preferred.
  • Strong relationship management and influential leadership skills to collaborate closely with external 3rd Party Logistics providers.
  • Communication skills & teamwork. Ability to establish strong networks, relationships and disciplined communication with key stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize work and escalate when help is needed.
