At Utz Quality Foods, we’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Logistics Safety & Facilities Supervisor to join our team at our new Rice Distribution Center in Hanover, PA This role is responsible for leading warehouse safety, facility operations, compliance initiatives, and maintenance coordination to help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient distribution environment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, warehouse safety experience, and a passion for continuous improvement. This position works closely with warehouse operations, maintenance teams, and external vendors to support facility readiness, employee safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across inbound, outbound, and inventory departments.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide leadership to warehouse janitorial and safety/facilities team members
• Ensure all cleaning, maintenance, sanitation, and safety tasks are completed according to GMP, OSHA, and company standards
• Coordinate facility maintenance activities and prioritize internal maintenance requests
• Monitor and enforce warehouse safety protocols, PPE compliance, and OSHA regulations
• Lead incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and warehouse safety training programs
• Manage internal and external safety audits to ensure compliance with federal regulations, food safety requirements, and customer standards
• Conduct regular warehouse inspections focused on cleanliness, safety compliance, equipment readiness, and facility conditions
• Oversee spill response procedures and proper handling/storage of hazardous materials and cleaning chemicals
• Coordinate pest control programs and monitor temperature/humidity controls to maintain product quality standards
• Ensure allergen control procedures are followed to prevent cross-contamination risks
• Support dock and trailer safety checks, including dock levelers, trailer restraints, and load security
• Maintain safety inspection records, maintenance logs, training documentation, and compliance reporting
• Manage emergency preparedness programs including fire drills, evacuation plans, and facility shutdown procedures
• Assist with facility improvement projects, signage updates, waste reduction, and recycling initiatives
• Support operational needs across inbound, outbound, and inventory departments as needed
• Partner with warehouse leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, compliance, and facility operations

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree, OSHA certification, or technical training preferred
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in warehouse operations, logistics, facilities, safety, manufacturing, or distribution environments
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, warehouse safety practices, GMPs, and compliance standards
• Experience leading safety audits, incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety training programs
• Knowledge of warehouse facility systems, maintenance coordination, dock safety, and environmental compliance
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems, facility equipment, and safety technology
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to quickly assess safety or facility issues and implement effective solutions
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics or distribution environment
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across operations, maintenance, and leadership teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new systems and software quickly
• Flexibility to support operational needs, emergency situations, and extended shutdown coverage as needed
