We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Planner to join our team at Bosch. This role is responsible for ensuring the seamless supply of finished goods to customers in North America. The position demands a strong customer-centric approach, combining meticulous planning with proactive communication and a relentless drive for efficiency. The Customer Planner serves as the crucial link between customer demand, our sales teams, and our plants, constantly striving to optimize delivery performance, quality, and cost.

  • Customer & Supply Chain Coordination:

    • Ensuring optimal material flow and service levels for the customer.
    • Coordinating information exchange between the customer, Sales, and supplying plants.
    • Leading and supporting customer-facing and internal Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) projects.
  • Planning & Inventory Management:

    • Creating delivery plans/schedules.
    • Supporting the production scheduling ("make process").
    • Responsibility for customer forecasts and maintaining order confirmations in the system.
    • Optimizing stock keeping and planning parameters.
  • Problem Resolution & Change Management:

    • Managing bottleneck situations and customer shortages.
    • Minimizing obsolescence and managing product changes (introductions, engineering changes) in coordination with customers and plants.
    • Identifying, communicating, and escalating open topics, deviations, and corrective actions.
  • Data Maintenance & Reporting:

    • Maintaining all customer-specific information (e.g., PFEP, guidelines).
    • Analyzing and tracking key planning parameters.
    • Managing customer-specific requirements and customer portals.
    • Acting as the MRP controller for all assigned part numbers and customers.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field required.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics planning, supply chain management, or a similar role, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
    • Strong knowledge of SAP (preferably in logistics, inventory management, and production planning modules).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
    • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
    • A strong drive for continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost.
    • Ability to foster strong customer and internal relationships.
