The Opportunity

As a Logistics Planner, you’ll be responsible for the daily planning and scheduling of tipper road deliveries, ensuring the efficient movement of materials while maintaining high service levels for our customers.

You’ll be at the centre of operations, working with drivers, hauliers and internal teams to ensure deliveries are completed on time and issues are resolved quickly. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced logistics environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Planning and scheduling daily tipper road deliveries to ensure efficient and timely execution

  • Optimising delivery routes to maximise fleet utilisation and minimise transportation costs

  • Using the Transport Management System (TMS) to create, manage and update delivery plans

  • Maintaining accurate delivery information and records within the TMS

  • Coordinating closely with drivers, hauliers and operational teams to ensure smooth delivery operations

  • Communicating with internal stakeholders including sales, production and customer service teams

  • Providing updates and responding to delivery-related queries from customers and colleagues

  • Monitoring delivery performance and identifying potential delays or operational issues

  • Tracking and reporting on logistics KPIs and operational performance

  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures, transport regulations and safety standards

  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting the preparation of operational reports

  • Proactively identifying and resolving planning or scheduling challenges

What You’ll Bring
  • Experience in logistics planning, transport scheduling or a similar operational role (preferred)

  • Familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS) or logistics software

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

  • Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive mindset

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, drivers and external partners
