Assist in process improvement projects at the 3PL warehouse (e.g., automation projects).
Conduct time studies / process observations to identify inefficiencies, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
Support preparation of work instructions (WI), SOP updates, and training materials to standardize operations and reduce errors.
Drive data collection and analysis for operational metrics (e.g. labor productivity, warehouse space utilization, aging inventory etc).
Participate in weekly/monthly operational reviews with 3PL and internal teams.
Assist in investigation and closure of operational issues (e.g., 8D), including basic root cause analysis (RCA).
Work on cross-functionally projects (if any) with Internal stakeholders, and Transportation teams to ensure smooth execution and service recovery when needed.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas, charts); PowerPoint for reporting.
Comfortable working with operational data and building basic trackers/dashboards (Smartsheet/Tableau is a plus).
Exposure to WMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, or any WMS) is an advantage.
Basic understanding of Lean / Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Pareto, Fishbone, 5S) is a plus.
Strong documentation skills—able to write clear SOPs, workflows, and process maps (Visio is a plus).
REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:
Diploma, Supply chain, Industrial engineering, or Operations management
The AMSEA Logistics Operations team manages warehouse operation across the region (SG/MY/PH) , working closely with internal stakeholders, 3PL warehouse partners, transportation providers. The team focuses on ensuring On time Delivery, inventory accuracy, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement across warehousing and distribution processes.
This internship provides exposure to regional logistics operations while enabling hands-on project work at a 3PL site to improve process efficiency, data visibility, and operational performance
