Job Description

Logistics Operative

Department: Logistics

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Duiven, Netherlands

Reporting To: Logistics Team Lead

Compensation: €34,128 / year

At Vintage.com, we’re building the most trusted platform for pre-loved items. We help people give valuable things a new life, making the experience simple, transparent and rewarding.

We bring together specialist knowledge, thoughtful technology and genuine care for our customers. By helping more items stay in circulation, we create value for people and make a positive impact at the same time.
Our Logistics team keeps every item moving safely and smoothly through Vintage.com—from the moment a customer’s box arrives to storage, packing, dispatch or return.

Every item that passes through our hands is unique, often vintage and customer-owned. That means care, precision and accountability are at the heart of everything we do.

We work closely with teams including Appraisals and Facilities to make sure every item’s journey is smooth, transparent and handled with pride.

As a Logistics Operative, you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping customer-owned items moving safely and efficiently through our operation. You’ll handle, inspect, sort, store, pack and dispatch a wide range of vintage and valuable items, making sure each one is cared for throughout its journey.

This is a physically active and varied role where accuracy, care and teamwork matter. Your work will help stock move smoothly and reliably while supporting a positive customer experience.
  • Stock is processed accurately, efficiently and in line with agreed quality standards.
  • Vintage, fragile and high-value items are handled safely and with appropriate care at every stage.
  • Daily and weekly productivity expectations are consistently achieved without compromising quality or safety.
  • Stock records, discrepancies and damage are identified, recorded and communicated accurately.
  • The logistics environment remains safe, tidy, organised and ready to support changing priorities.

What You’ll Do

  • Unload and check in daily deliveries of customer boxes accurately and safely.
  • Inspect, sort and categorise incoming stock for the right next stage.
  • Handle vintage, fragile and high-value items with precision and care.
  • Move cages, pallets and stock safely between departments and storage areas.
  • Pack and repackage items securely for onward processing, dispatch or return.
  • Maintain accurate digital records using internal systems.
  • Meet agreed productivity, accuracy and quality standards across your day-to-day work.
  • Maintain clean, safe and well-organised warehouse and storage areas.
  • Follow manual handling, equipment and warehouse health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Logistics, Appraisals and other teams to maintain smooth stock flow.
  • Communicate damage, defects, discrepancies or stock issues promptly and clearly.
  • Adapt to changing operational priorities and move between logistics functions when required.
  • Share knowledge and support colleagues as you build experience across different areas of the operation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, layouts and workflows.
  • Raise recurring issues and suggest practical solutions to improve efficiency, quality or safety.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and shared success.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy.
  • Comfortable carrying out the physical requirements of the role, including moving stock, cages and packages safely throughout the working day. We’ll discuss any reasonable adjustments you may need during the recruitment process.
  • A reliable, proactive and team-focused approach to work.
  • Comfortable working efficiently in a busy and physically active environment.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, processes and logistics functions.
  • Basic IT skills and confidence using digital systems for stock and data entry.
  • A strong sense of care and accountability when handling customer-owned goods.
  • Ability to communicate issues clearly and work effectively with colleagues across teams.
  • Able to work across the agreed shift pattern, including AM and PM shifts and occasional Saturdays.
  • Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, stock control or a similar operational environment.
  • Experience handling fragile, vintage, valuable or customer-owned goods.
  • Experience using warehouse, inventory or stock management systems.
  • Experience working to productivity, accuracy or quality targets.
No specific qualification is required. We care most about your approach, the experience you bring and your willingness to learn.

In this role, living our values means:
  • Treat customer-owned items with honesty, care and respect. Follow processes consistently, record information accurately and speak up when something is damaged, missing or doesn’t look right.
  • Ask questions, learn how things work and look for ways to improve. Stay open to learning new processes and understand how your work connects to the wider customer journey.
  • Take ownership of your work, maintain high standards and ask for support when you need it. Act quickly when you identify an issue and follow it through to resolution.
  • Work positively with colleagues across Logistics and other teams. Communicate clearly, share information and support others to keep stock moving safely and efficiently through the business.
  • Remember that every item we handle belongs to someone and may have personal or sentimental value. Treat every item, customer and colleague with patience, respect and consideration, especially when things don’t go to plan.
