Watu Credit Uganda Ltd is seeking a proactive, highly organised, detail-oriented, and integrity-driven Logistics Officer to coordinate and optimise our logistics operations across Uganda.

Role Summary; The Sales Representative is responsible for building sound relationships with all customers, dealers/ store owners based on mutual trust and goodwill, Increase in revenue through increased credit conversions within the stores.

Key Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Inventory Planning & Management: Forecast inventory requirements, monitor daily opening and closing stock, and maintain accurate stock levels and records.
  • Quality Verification: Inspect supplier deliveries to verify quantities, specifications, and condition of assets, and report any discrepancies for corrective action or reimbursement.
  • Technical Coordination: Liaise with technicians to ensure the correct bikes are selected, prepared, and available for installation and system onboarding.
  • Logistics & Transportation: Coordinate the timely transportation of assets from suppliers and transfers between branches, ensuring safe and secure handling of merchandise.
  • Warehouse Management: Oversee the proper storage, organisation, and security of supplies and assets while implementing logistics policies and 5S standards.
  • Dispatch & Delivery: Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of all dispatches, deliveries, and asset movements.
  • Stock Controls: Maintain effective inventory controls, conduct regular stock reconciliations, and ensure compliance with inventory management systems and procedures.
  • Logistics Cost Management: Support effective financial management by monitoring and controlling costs related to logistics operations.
  • Compliance & Incident Reporting: Identify and report incidents of non-compliance and support the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Asset Display & Records: Ensure proper physical display of bikes and accurate recording of inventory on the warehouse/display system.
  • Health & Safety: Drive compliance with occupational health and safety requirements and relevant regulatory standards across logistics operations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present accurate logistics, inventory, and warehouse reports as required.
  • Perform any other duties as may reasonably be assigned by management.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • The ideal candidate must be a holder of Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2 - 3 years of experience in logistics, fleet, transport, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong coordination, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Good knowledge of fleet and transport management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
