Job Description

  • Casual Positions (Monday – Friday)
  • Shifts Availability7.00am – 3.00pm & 9.00am – 5.00pm

Responsibilities – Key Result Areas

Manage day-to-day freight operations to meet customer expectations and minimise cost

• Be involved in the day-to-day operation of the Distribution functions (as required) performing any distribution duty and working alongside as directed to help achieve required operational outcomes

• Delivers through the effective use of known work instructions and processes to deliver high quality service and product in line with set objectives

• Services are coordinated in a timely, efficient and accurate manner

• Develop and maintain a good operational knowledge of any computer or technical systems used in the delivery of the service required in normal operations.

• Ensure security of the entire workplace with particular attention to the Dangerous Drugs area and maintain compliance with government regulations and reporting requirements as required under our licence to distribute pharmaceuticals.

• Works cooperatively as a productive member of the Logistics and AGV team.

• Follow Work Instructions in compliance with QA requirements and safe operating procedures. Ensure compliance to current procedures

• Participate and apply QA requirements, Work Instructions, safety awareness or other areas as required. Cross training where required to add flexibility and quick response to the distribution operation

• Develop and maintain a good operational knowledge of any computer or technical systems used in the delivery of the service required in normal operations

• Respond to and raise other matters of importance related to the operation with senior management

• Disseminates in appropriate manner relative information to Logistics Supervisor, other employees, suppliers and client contacts as required

• Perform any other reasonable duties that fall within the scope of the position as reasonably directed

Education and Qualification

Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not essential

• Previous experience in a healthcare environment is desirable but not essential

Skills & Knowledge:

Good written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to develop and sustain productive working relationships • Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively

• Strong MS Office skills and knowledge are advantageous
