Our client is a leading enterprise in Vietnam in the field of steel design and manufacturing, currently seeking suitable personnel to join the company.

Logistics Planning and Management

  • Develop comprehensive logistics plans aligned with production schedules, procurement activities, export requirements, and project timelines.

  • Coordinate logistics resources to ensure goods are delivered at the right time, to the right location, in the required quantities, while maintaining optimal cost efficiency.

  • Develop tailored logistics solutions for projects or orders with specific transportation or handling requirements.

  • Proactively identify potential risks that may affect delivery schedules and recommend appropriate mitigation and contingency measures.

  • Establish, review, and continuously improve logistics processes to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.

International Transportation and Import–Export Management

  • Oversee all import and export activities for goods, materials, machinery, equipment, and structural components required for production and project execution.

  • Manage and control international transportation activities, including booking, shipping arrangements, documentation, customs clearance, and final delivery.

  • Ensure the appropriate application of Incoterms, international payment methods, foreign trade contracts, and other relevant commercial terms.

  • Review and control customs documentation, HS codes, certificates of origin, duties, taxes, and other applicable legal requirements.

  • Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve issues arising during customs clearance and international transportation.

  • Ensure all import and export activities comply with applicable regulations and internal company requirements.

Domestic Transportation and Delivery Management

  • Manage and coordinate domestic transportation of goods, materials, equipment, and structural components.

  • Work closely with Warehouse, Production, Project, and other relevant teams to develop and execute delivery plans.

  • Determine suitable transportation methods and vehicles based on cargo characteristics, project requirements, and delivery schedules.

  • Monitor delivery progress and cargo conditions throughout transportation and promptly address any issues or disruptions.

  • Develop appropriate transportation solutions for oversized, heavy, or special cargo to ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery.

Logistics Cost Management

  • Develop, manage, and control the overall logistics budget.

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate quotations from transportation providers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers.

  • Negotiate pricing, service conditions, and commercial terms with logistics partners and suppliers.

  • Develop cost-effective solutions by optimizing transportation routes, shipping methods, delivery schedules, and delivery terms.

  • Monitor and analyze logistics costs by project, order, and transportation route.

  • Recommend cost-saving initiatives while maintaining required standards for delivery timelines, safety, and service quality.

Logistics Supplier and Partner Management

  • Develop and maintain a reliable network of logistics service providers.

  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, transportation companies, and other relevant service partners.

  • Conduct periodic evaluations of suppliers based on capability, service quality, pricing, responsiveness, and overall performance.

  • Negotiate service contracts and commercial terms with logistics partners.

  • Establish supplier performance evaluation and control mechanisms to ensure consistent service standards.

  • Proactively develop alternative supplier solutions when existing partners are unable to meet operational requirements.

Team Management

  • Lead, allocate, and coordinate responsibilities across the Logistics team.

  • Establish objectives and KPIs for individual team members and positions.

  • Monitor, review, and evaluate team performance against agreed targets.

  • Provide professional training and development in Logistics and Import–Export operations.

  • Build succession plans and continuously strengthen the technical and managerial capabilities of the department.

  • Ensure team members comply with internal procedures, company policies, and information security requirements.

Cross-functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Procurement, Warehouse, Production, Planning, Sales, Contracts, Projects, Finance and Accounting, Legal, and other relevant departments.

  • Ensure delivery and transportation plans are communicated accurately and updated in a timely manner.

  • Proactively coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues that may affect project schedules.

  • Participate in logistics planning from the early stages of project and order development to ensure operational feasibility and cost efficiency.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Identify and control risks related to transportation, customs clearance, delivery, costs, and project schedules.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing Logistics, Customs, Import–Export, and transportation activities.

  • Manage risks associated with documentation, cargo, contracts, and logistics suppliers.

  • Coordinate the resolution of claims, losses, damages, or incidents arising during transportation.

  • Ensure all team members comply with confidentiality, data protection, and information security requirements.

Reporting and Management Advisory

  • Prepare regular management reports covering transportation and delivery status, import–export and customs clearance activities, logistics costs, project delivery progress, supplier performance, and key operational risks or issues.

  • Provide ad-hoc reports whenever significant issues arise that may affect project schedules, costs, or business operations.

  • Provide recommendations to Executive Management on logistics organization, operational improvements, cost optimization, and overall logistics strategy.


Requirements


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Foreign Trade, Import–Export, Economics, International Business, or another relevant discipline.

Experience

  • At least 8 years of professional experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Import–Export, or related functions.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a managerial, supervisory, or equivalent leadership position.

  • Experience within manufacturing, steel structures, construction, export-oriented businesses, or companies operating international supply chains and logistics networks is highly preferred.

Professional Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of Logistics and Supply Chain Management principles and practices.

  • Solid knowledge of both international and domestic transportation operations.

  • Strong understanding of Import–Export procedures, Customs regulations, and relevant legal requirements.

  • Good knowledge of Incoterms, L/C, T/T, sea freight, road transportation, and other international transportation methods.

  • Strong knowledge of logistics cost management and supplier management.

  • Proven ability to establish, standardize, and continuously improve logistics processes.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards is preferred.

  • Strong English communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and professionally handle emails, documentation, and correspondence with international partners.

  • Proficiency in MS Office is required, while experience with ERP or SAP systems is preferred.
