CHS has an exciting opportunity to lead our Energy Transportation Operations team. The Manager, Logistics is responsible for driver operations across the North and West regions within the legacy energy network. This role directly manages four Driver Supervisors, who are responsible for day-to-day driver oversight.

The Driver Manager is accountable for overall regional performance, including safety, operational results, and budget management. This position ensures consistent execution across all locations by setting expectations for supervisors, monitoring outcomes, and driving accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage and develop Driver Supervisors across the North and West region, ensuring consistent execution of driver performance, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Own regional driver operations, including performance metrics, service reliability, and operational consistency across all locations.
  • Drive a strong safety culture, ensuring safety is the top priority and that supervisors are actively coaching and managing performance.
  • Manage the regional budget and monitor performance against financial and efficiency targets.
  • Partner with central dispatch to ensure alignment on driver readiness and operational needs, without managing dispatch activities.
  • Build strong relationships with maintenance supervisors to ensure vehicles and equipment are safe, reliable, and operationally ready.
  • Identify and drive improvements in driver performance, operational efficiency, and consistency across the regions.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Transportation and Logistics
  • Prior leadership experience with progressively advancing level of leadership responsibilities

Additional Qualifications

    • Proven experience managing drivers, equipment, and 24/7 or multi‑site operations
    • Strong working knowledge of DOT regulations, safety compliance, and hazardous materials transportation
    • Financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, billing/invoicing, and P&L responsibility
    • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across operations, sales/account management, and customers
    • Experience in fuel, energy, bulk commodities, or regulated industries a plus

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
