Logistics Manager
Reports To:
Director of Logistics
Status: Full-time; Exempt
Location: Riverside, CA (Primary); may travel to HQ or SGV Office
Hours of Operation: 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (with some variation possible). May need to be available on weekends.
Salary Range: $72,000 – $77,000 annually

What We Do:
Woodcraft Rangers provides TK-12 expanded learning programs, including before and after school, specialty enrichment, and summer learning. In the past few years, Woodcraft has expanded its menu of services beyond traditional afterschool programs and summer camps to include early learning, environmental and social justice, college access, and inclusion services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, we offer LifeCraft, a college and career advancement program to support the development of approximately 2,250 staff. Today, Woodcraft Rangers serves more than 30,000 youth ages 4 to 18 each year across 150 plus Title I schools in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties, and continues to expand its reach.

The candidate must be comfortable presenting and speaking in front of staff and peers during in-person training, and proficient in generating weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual written reports and/or creating visual diagrams using software.

The Logistics Manager will report directly to the Director of Logistics and will be responsible for overseeing the duties of Logistics Associates, as well as managing the procurement and distribution of equipment and materials for Woodcraft Rangers’ Inland Empire (IE) locations and regional sites in an efficient and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties according to Woodcraft Rangers protocols and established safety procedures.

  • Build a positive team culture that supports accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee Logistics Associates, monitoring work and ensuring safe protocols are followed.

  • Review warehouse procedures and continually evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.

  • Oversee warehouse logistics, including receiving, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment across all WR IE sites.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and functional warehouse and storage areas.

  • Safely operate equipment and tools to transport inventory.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of supplies and coordinate resolutions with vendors.

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment/assets in internal inventory system and reportable district systems.

  • Lead routine equipment audits at all WR IE locations.

  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships to negotiate pricing and resolve issues.

  • Lead quarterly inventory counts as required by internal and external sources.

  • Purchase approved materials for all WR IE locations and programs.

  • Manage and reconcile monthly credit card purchases.

  • Drive regularly to transport equipment and supplies for all WR IE program locations, including setup and breakdowns for events.

  • Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of Woodcraft Rangers vehicles and equipment, including gas, repairs, and maintenance for all WR-related usage.

  • In collaboration with other departments, ensure System Department protocols for loss prevention are followed at IE Office and field locations.

  • Assist with special events, including delivery of equipment, set-up/breakdown, etc.

  • Prepare and present reports and/or findings on a regular basis (e.g., asset reports, quarterly inventory reports).

  • Document support requests and resolutions via ticketing system.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills:
Required

  • Ability to travel to various regions with Woodcraft Rangers programs to support or deliver equipment, across Los Angeles County and San Bernardino County.

  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

  • Must have a Class C driver’s license.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Experience in Logistics Operations.

  • Experience in ERP Software.

Strongly Preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365 Platform.

  • Proficiency in Asset Management platforms, e-commerce platforms (Shopify), and/or Financial Systems such as Sage.

Preferred

  • Troubleshooting both software and hardware.

  • Set up and troubleshoot standard A/V equipment (speakers, mics, projectors)
