We are now looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join us.
Your Scope
Close operational partner to site leadership — highly system-driven, settinghigh standardsin supply chain execution across drill manufacturing and reconditioning operations to deliver best-in-class service to global and domestic customers.
Lead a team for new solid carbide drills and reconditioning ofsolid carbide drillsand endmills
Leadand manageprojectsfor the site, including improvement projects,production transfers between Walter sitesandnew products
Responsible for end-to-end production planning for new drill manufacturing and reconditioning services for drills and endmills
Manage distinct planning logic for each stream: make-to-stock and make-to-order for new drills; service order management for reconditioned tools
Weekly OTD (On-Time Delivery) tracking — plan vs. actual — across manufacturing and reconditioning workflows with structured reporting to site leadership
Prepare weekly and monthly production plans aligned with capacity, incoming reconditioned tool volume, and raw material availability
Hands-on management of SAP planning module to drive scheduling, procurement, and inventory decisions across both business streams
Ensure availability of all required raw materials and consumables (carbide blanks, regrind stock, coatings, packaging) per plan
Manage inboundlogisticsfor used tools received for reconditioning, including tracking, intake coordination, and turnaround time commitments
Ensuretimelycommunication to internal and external customers on planned volumes, reconditioning lead times, and delivery commitments
Monitor and report key supply chain KPIs including stock availability, delivery precision, lead times, and delivery accuracy; drive corrective actions when targets are not met
Manage quarterly volume and inventory forecasts; track reconditioning service volume trends and adjust capacity planning accordingly
Responsible for vendor scheduling per production plan and priorities, including semi-finished blank and consumable suppliers
Lead implementation of LEAN concepts
Your Profile
Engineering or Business degree; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 5 years of direct experience inlogisticsor supply chain in a manufacturing environment will be equally considered
Direct experience in production planning, inventory management, and supply chain execution in a precision manufacturing or machining environment preferred
Experience managing supply chain for both make-to-stock manufacturing and service/repair operations is a strong advantage
In-depth knowledge of forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain management concepts
Proficiencyin MS Office, particularly Excel
Strong written and oral communication skills in English
Required Competencies
Ability to manage multiple planning streams with different demand patterns and lead time structures
Strong teamleadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with internal teams, external suppliers, and customers
Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions across complex operations
Comfortable working with all levels of management, from shop floor to global directors and vice presidents
Strong continuous improvement and business systems development mindset
