Logistics Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

The Logistics Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and functionality of our logistics infrastructure. By performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, this role ensures the seamless operation of conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and automated systems. The technician plays a crucial part in optimizing our supply chain efficiency and maintaining a safe working environment.

DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is vital for maintaining our warehouse and logistics equipment, ensuring efficient supply chain management and smooth operations.
Requirements:

• 2-6+ yrs, experience/education/training in industrial maintenance or technically relative field.
• 1+ years demonstrated abilities troubleshooting, modifying, repairing and performing preventive maintenance on automated industrial equipment.
• Demonstrated cross-functional experience/skills: PLC, HMI, Ladder Logic, Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic , Pneumatic systems.
• Must have knowledge of basic electronics theory and some practical experience
• Should have a demonstrated ability to plan/prioritize work.
• PC skills- MS excel/word, hardware, windows operations.
• Must not be color-blind.
• Must be able to work at heights of 20 ft on ladder/lifts

  • Perform preventive maintenance on conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and automated storage/retrieval systems to prevent downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, ensuring continuous and safe operations.
  • Inspect and maintain logistics infrastructure to meet health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Document all maintenance activities, equipment issues, and implemented solutions for record-keeping.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Train and supervise maintenance assistants or interns, fostering a skilled workforce.
  • Order and manage inventory of maintenance parts and supplies, ensuring availability when needed.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and best practices in logistics maintenance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall equipment reliability.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical certification or associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial, logistics, or warehouse maintenance is essential.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, or automation systems are a must.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints is crucial.
  • Physical fitness to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments, including heights and tight spaces.
  • Experience with PLCs and warehouse automation systems is desirable.
  • Forklift or scissor lift certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean maintenance or TPM practices is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with a strong focus on teamwork.
