Logistics Lead
Location Sidney, OH (First 6 months in office with the potential to go hybrid based on performance)
TheLogistics Lead role involves managing all aspects around equipment transportation needs throughout our customer base across North America. This role will support the asset management and end-of-Lease teams in aligning the logistics for all transportation needs of equipment. This position requires strong organizational skills along with experience with logistics, warehousing, and attention to detail.
Essential Duties:
Align and communicate all logistics work for moving loads across Merrimak customer base which includes carrier/broker and customer contacts.
Ensure freight rates are market competitive.
Coordinate all pickup and deliveries with both the pickup site contact and delivery end contacts to make the process smooth for all parties.
Work internally and externally to support customs work for both Mexico and Canada equipment crossings.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Digitize and file all pertinent shipping documents (BOL’s, invoices, communication)
Ensure alignment with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable on all logistics moves.
Education and Experience:
Previous experience in the logistics industry is a must.
Material Handling Equipment knowledge is a plus.
Strong leadership and organizational skills to properly plan for all the moving equipment.
Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
