Job Description

The Logistics Specialist for Transport is responsible for:

• The Import Processes and ensure efficient transmission of all Import Goods and prepare and complete all Purchase Order and ensure accuracy of all shipping documents.
• Responsible to ensure that all shipping documents complies with Customs rules and regulations and ensures exposure to unbudgeted cost are minimize (demurrage, detention, storage cost)
• Ensures all potential cost exposure are computed with correct assumptions and aligned with Purchasing and Broker
• Coordinates and liaise with brokers on importation issues and concerns
• Access and report safety hazards associated with workplace area

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any field
• At least 2 years’ experience in related field required for the position
• Overall knowledge of company vision and mission
• Ability to effectively plan, organize and audit.
• Project management
• Thorough understanding of the importation process, including tapping available system to track shipments and other available solution for importation process simplification
• Very Good Reporting Skills (written and oral)
• Detail oriented. Can Multitask and can handle several client accounts.
