Business Overview

Rakuten Mobile officially launched its full-scale service in April 2020 as the fourth MNO (Mobile Network Operator) approved in Japan in 13 years, with the aim of providing high-quality mobile communication services at reasonable prices. Our objective is to exceed 10 million subscribers by the end of 2025.
As enterprise services, we have been providing full-scale service since January 2023. As a pivotal business segment poised to significantly contribute to the Rakuten Group's future growth, substantial investments are being allocated, garnering considerable attention.

Department Overview

This organization is the department responsible for providing mobile services to corporate clients. Within this department, you will be responsible for building new service operation flows, improving existing operations, and managing the vendors who execute those operations. You will participate in the business as a core member for future business expansion, aiming to achieve the No. 1 carrier status. We are responsible for the reliable delivery of Rakuten Mobile (B2B) products and services to our end-users.
We execute our logistics operations with a awareness of cost, while being understanding Japanese regulations, internal processes, and service level agreements.
You will develop expertise in varius logistics areas of business knowledge, procurement, inventory management, transportation flows, IT system, and legal aspects.

Position Details

Our responsibilities are three-areas:
1.Improve operations and productivity:
Automate tasks to cut man-hours, improve processes, and analyze key data.

2.Manage inventory and coordinate irregular processing:
Arrange irregular requests on our customer. manage stock-taking, stock transfers, and incoming goods.

3.Inventory forecast:
Create forecasts using sales leads and inventory data.

We mainly work in the office for direct communication, we offer one remote work day per week. Our flexible working hours also allow you to adjust your schedule to your lifestyle.(at Futakotamagawa office, Japan basis)

Work Environment

The group consists of 6 members with a wide age range: 20s (3 members), 40s (2 member), and 50s (1 member). Each member leverages their expertise and knowledge, and we work on projects collaboratively, making it an easy group to communicate with.

While many new graduates are assigned to this department, we also have members who joined us through mid-career hires, creating a team with diverse backgrounds.

Mandatory Qualifications:

・Experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excel: Experience in data aggregation and analysis
PowerPoint: Experience in creating meeting materials, proposals, etc.

Desired Qualifications:

1. Project Management Skills
In order management operations, it is important to have skills to manage projects smoothly because the work proceeds in cooperation with multiple vendors and departments. In particular, experience in progress management and coordination work can be utilized.

Desired Skills: Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, experience using project management tools

2. Communication Skills
High communication skills are essential because it is necessary to coordinate with various departments such as customers, sales departments, outsourced vendors, and engineers. In particular, since there are many remote interactions, smooth online communication skills are also required.

Desired Skills: English proficiency (if the outsourced vendor is located overseas), experience using remote conferencing tools (Teams, Zoom, etc.)

3. System Understanding and Improvement Skills
Order management operations involve many system-related tasks, including registering and changing line contract information, so knowledge of how to use systems and improve operations is required. In addition, since operational improvements are also included, the ability to solve system-related problems is also important.

Desired Skills: System development or operation experience, experience in system improvement projects

4. Data Analysis and Management Skills
Skills in data analysis and report creation are also required because there are tasks such as order/invoice management and sales management. In particular, the ability to analyze the progress of outsourced vendors and teams and propose improvement measures is required.

Desired Skills: Data analysis using Excel or Google Sheets, experience in sales management or billing management

5. Experience in Business Improvement
Since system and operational improvements are required, experience in proposing and implementing business improvements that reflect the voices of the field will be a strength. We are looking for people who can contribute to improving the efficiency and quality of operations.

Desired Skills: Experience in improving business workflows, experience in practicing the PDCA cycle

6. Adaptability to Flexible Work Styles
Since flextime and telecommuting once a week are possible, the ability to adapt to flexible work styles is required. We welcome those who can work in a way that suits their home and lifestyle.

Desired Skills: Autonomous work execution ability, experience with flextime or remote work

7.Compliance with Legal Regulations
To comply with legal regulations surrounding our business, such as the Telecommunications Business Act, the Construction Business Act, and internal rules, experience in interacting with the legal department and handling contracts is highly desirable.

Desired Skills: Experience and knowledge related to legal regulations and rules.

8.Accounting Support
It is necessary to accurately communicate figures generated during operations, such as sales reports and purchases, to the accounting department.

Desired Skills: Experience in accounting-related tasks.

9.Automation
Skills to improve efficiency through business process automation are required.

Desired Skills: Development experience using RPA and AI.
