Summary:
The Logistics and Freight Analyst is responsible for analyzing and optimizing end-to-end logistics operations with a strong focus on system management and process improvement. Coordinates and optimize transportation and freight operations to ensure the efficient, cost-effective movement of goods throughout the supply chain.
This role supports operations and finance by owning the logistics system, driving analytics and leading operational improvements companywide for the management of the logistics system. The position plays a critical role in coordinating and collaborating between logistics, finance, operations, customer service, manufacturing, procurement and external carriers to ensure efficient shipment execution, cost control, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end aspects of the logistics system (Piyovi), ensuring accuracy and performance
- Key point of contact for logistics system support
- Improve system functionality and drive adoption across the organization
- Lead initiatives to improve logistics workflows and system processes, driving continuous improvement efforts across logistics operations
- Identify discrepancies in freight billing and work toward resolution
- Improve accuracy of freight charges and overall cost control
- Manage freight exceptions and drive timely resolution across shipments
- Support and maintain reporting tools such as the Freight Exception Dashboard
- Pull and analyze logistics data to identify trends and recurring issues
- Provide reporting and insights to support operational and financial decisions
- Maintain compliance with all transportation and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with external carriers and partners (FedEx, UPS, Intelligent Audit) monitoring carrier performance and support issue resolution
- Liaison with stakeholders in Logistics, Finance, Operations, and Customer Service
- Directly and indirectly responsible for product quality

Skills
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification
- Current Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Certification/Training in accordance with applicable federal regulations
- Working knowledge of and compliance with International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code requirements for the classification, packaging, labeling, and shipment of dangerous goods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
QualificationsEducation & Experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
- Strong knowledge of shipping processes, carriers, and freight operations
- Experience with logistics systems (TMS/ERP platforms such as Piyovi)
- Proven ability to manage shipping exceptions and solve operational issues
