Job Description

In your day to day activities, you’ll work with multiple customers, as a consultant and trusted partner in Sandalwood’s areas of expertise of Injury Prevention, Systems Engineering & Systems Integration. You’ll help customers innovate, solve their current struggles and guide them with the power of Sandalwood’s deeply ingrained subject matter expertise.

At Sandalwood Engineering & Ergonomics, we are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented professional to join a project focused on logistics coordination, equipment tracking, document control, and operational support within automotive manufacturing and program launch activities.

This position requires a highly organized individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of working in fast-paced environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, carriers, and international partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of specialized experience in logistics.
  • Conversational English proficiency (written and spoken).
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Self-guided, proactive, and dynamic professional.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Responsible and organized.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong follow-up and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms and different shipment methods:
    • Land shipments
    • Air shipments
    • Sea shipments

Tasks assigned / Work priorities:

  • Track project schedules, identifying risks, gaps, and timing changes.
  • Monitor equipment and machinery status from vendor runoff through in-plant capability.
  • Generate tracking reports and progress metrics.
  • Support the resolution of logistics and timing-related issues.
  • Manage and track machinery shipments.
  • Prepare and manage documentation for import and export operations.
  • Work directly with suppliers to collect required documentation and information.
  • Coordinate and communicate with different carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.
  • Maintain inventory control and access tracking (MTO follow-up).
  • Participate in follow-up meetings and actively support the project team.
  • Support administrative activities, data analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop dashboards, automations, and tracking tools using Excel, Power BI, and Power Automate.
  • Ensure document control and proper version management of deliverables.

Technical Requirements:

Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills are required:

  • Pivot tables
  • Advanced formulas
  • Data analysis and information cross-referencing
  • Dashboards and reporting

Experience with:

  • Power BI
  • Power Automate
  • Microsoft Office Suite

Desired experience in:

  • Automotive industry
  • Program launches
  • International logistics
  • Supplier follow-up and coordination

Preferred Knowledge

  • Knowledge of customs and import/export documentation:
    • Commercial Invoice
    • CCP (Carta Porte)
    • Country of Origin
    • HTS Codes
    • Packing List
    • Bill of Lading (preferred)
