Job Description


This role is a critical link in the export supply chain, ensuring the seamless movement of cargo through meticulous document control and regulatory compliance. Joining an established logistics firm during their peak seasonal period (up to end of September 2026), you will be responsible for the high-volume processing of essential shipping certifications and customs documentation within a high-output environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Documentation Management:

    Accurately complete and submit Shipping Instructions (SIs), PPECB, Phyto-sanitary certificates, Certificates of Origin, Cargo Dues, and Customs entries (Eur 1 and Form A).


  • Compliance & Accuracy:

    Ensure all documentation adheres strictly to consignee sheet instructions and is finalised within rigid industry timeframes.


  • Digital Integration:

    Maintain organised electronic records by ensuring all completed documentation is uploaded to Google Drive and internal operating systems.


  • Workflow Optimisation:

    Manage the logistics system dashboard, completing tasks timeously and providing detailed comments to ensure transparent tracking.


  • Stakeholder Coordination:

    Identify and flag potential bottlenecks or documentation errors immediately with relevant departments to prevent shipment delays.


Requirements


  • Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.

  • Proven ability to read, interpret, and process complex shipping and export documentation.

  • Must be available for after-hours work and weekends when required by the logistics cycle (a laptop is provided for remote weekend support).

  • Exceptional attention to detail, high resilience, and the ability to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines under pressure.

  • A team-centric culture where cross-departmental assistance is encouraged.

  • Fluent in English

  • SA Citizen

  • Friendly and approachable personality

Software Skills:

  • Google Workspace (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets).

  • Logistics Management Systems (Internal).

  • Electronic Customs & Certification Portals.
